How it works

How it works

Five steps from 'should we?' to a clear answer — and funding, if now is the right time.

  1. 1

    1. Tell us what you're weighing up — about 60 seconds

The amount, what it's for, your timing, your state and a few questions about the business. No credit check when you enquire. The more accurate your answers, the better the first call.

  2. 2

    2. A real person reads it and calls you

A lending specialist looks at your situation — not an algorithm, and not a list of lenders bidding for your details — and calls to understand the full picture.

  3. 3

    3. We price both sides: waiting and borrowing

Together we look at what delay is costing you and what finance would realistically cost in total dollars. If waiting looks smarter, we'll tell you and explain what would change the answer.

  4. 4

    4. If now wins, we match the right lender

Secured or unsecured, short or longer term — structured around your deadline, whether that's a supplier's cut-off, a lease start, a season or 30 June.

  5. 5

    5. Documents, approval and funding

Only once you decide to go ahead. We tell you exactly what's needed, and a credit check is discussed at this point. Funds are paid to you or directly to whoever needs paying.

What makes our process different?

Most enquiries about business finance start with "how much can I get?" Ours start with "is now the right time?" That question changes the conversation. Instead of pushing you towards the biggest facility available, we look at what your delay is costing and what borrowing would cost, both in dollars. You can do the first half yourself with our cost-of-waiting calculator before you ever talk to us.

What can be funded?

  • Property-secured business loans from $20,000 to $5,000,000 — first mortgages, second mortgages and caveat loans over residential or commercial property.
  • Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses, typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.
  • Past credit issues and ATO debt considered case by case.
  • Business purposes only — equipment, vehicles, stock, staff ramp-up, fit-outs, contracts, tax debt and working capital.

Why accuracy on the form matters

The form is short, so each answer counts. The amount, what it's for, your state, your turnover and any property you own all shape which options are realistic. Accurate answers mean the first option we put in front of you is one that fits — rather than a round of "actually, it's more like…" calls. If you're not sure of a figure, give your best honest estimate and tell us it's an estimate when we call.

Common questions about the process

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed once you've decided to go ahead with an application.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. We don't spray enquiries around. One team reviews your situation and matches it to a suitable lender, so your phone won't light up with calls from strangers.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on the amount, the security and how ready your documents are. Tell us your deadline on the form and we'll say plainly whether it looks achievable.

What documents will I need?

Usually recent business bank statements, ID, ABN or ACN details, the quote or contract you're funding, details of existing debts and any ATO position. Property details if you're offering security.

What if you think I should wait?

Then we'll say so and explain why — and what would need to change for the answer to become now.

Decided now is the time? See if you qualify.

A 60-second enquiry, no credit check to ask, and one lending specialist who works on your numbers rather than passing them around. If waiting looks smarter, we will say so.
